Covid-19 is a respiratory disease with symptoms including fatigue, persistent cough and fever.
However, researchers in Spain believe they have discovered another symptom in the foot.
According to a recent statement of the Joint Council of the University of Podiatrist (Spain), the leg injuries in Covid-19 patients are purple similar to chickenpox, measles or chilblain.
The sores are exposed to cold temperatures. They usually appear around the toes and feet and disappear without leaving a trace on the skin.

"Symptoms are found in children and adolescents, as well as some adults in Italy, France and Spain," the statement from Podiatrist University said.
The findings coincide with a 13-year-old boy with Covid-19 infected with foot injuries, but no other symptoms were noted by the International Federation of Pediatric Feet earlier.
Thus, foot injury may be one of the warning signs of infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus. Health experts recommend that we be alert to new, even minimal symptoms to detect people with Covid-19 infection to avoid spreading them to the community.
