Android is a popular operating system and most people know it is only for smartphones. But XDA JuniorPrimeOS member group recently released PrimeOS to replace the Android emulator on pc / laptop and it can run on older PCs and laptops.
So, what is PrimeOS?
PrimeOS is an android-x86-based android operating system and is used for desktop as well as laptops with features such as multi-window, toolbar and deca-pro key mapper for gamers.

Salient features :
Experience similar to a computer
- Many features to provide desktop experience like start menu, taskbar, etc.
- Support multiple windows with maximize, minimize, close, resize, etc.
- Optionally turn off multiple windows for any application in case you need it.
- Common keyboard shortcuts like alt + tab, alt + f4, win + d, etc.
- Close to the AOSP experience with only the necessary desktop features.
- The taskbar has the ability to pin apps, display notification icons and system.

Games as well as installing applications from Google Play
- Play games with the keyboard and mouse (enable support mode with the F12 key).
- Pre-set keys before some popular games like PUBG, Subway surf, etc.
- GPU emulator for any game.

Some other features
- Opengapps are available, no need to install them manually.
- OTA support is available but works only when the EXT4 RW partition is set up.
- Feedback application is available for you to share and feedback bugs for developers.
- The kernel has been updated to linux LTS version 4.9.x.

Some errors in this version may occur:
- Bluetooth does not work on some devices
- Hardware audio issues may appear on some devices
- Please feedback the error for the developer to fix the error to complete

Note: The PrimeOS installer is currently under development and will be released shortly. Now, you can download it with the ISO file and follow the steps below to install PrimeOS on your pc / laptop with the usb rufus tool. (I will install and guide you in the next article next week). However, for you who are free on installing hdh windows, linux, you can probably do it yourself.
