Let's learn about Shriek - Carnage's lover and Venom's enemy will appear in Venom 2.
Besides the appearance of Carnage as the main villain, Venom's next film will feature a different villain called Shriek. So, who is Shriek? Let's find out about the origin of one of the most dangerous enemies that Venom is about to deal with on the big screen.
1. Origin and esper power of Shriek, Carnage's lover
First appeared in a famous Carnage event called Maximum Carnage. Shriek was rescued by the insane Symbiote when he slaughtered in Ravencroft, which is considered the "Arkham madhouse" of the Marvel Universe.

Shriek was rescued by Carnage while being held in Ravencroft asylum.
Despite his real name Frances Barrison, Shriek often uses the identity Sandra Deel. As a child, Frances often suffered from violence by her mother. This made her soon fall into the trap of social evils and drug addiction.
Originally a mutant, however, Shriek actually only activated his super powers after being shot by a police officer and went insane a short time later. That's when she was locked in the dark space under Cloak cloak while super drug trafficking.

Shriek became insane after being confined in the dark dimension by superhero Cloak.
She was imprisoned in Ravencroft asylum until Carnage rescued him, and became his girlfriend ever since. She became a companion to Carnage in the attack on Carnage's Spider-Man. The two began collecting a buggy version of Spider-Man, Doppelganger, and other super criminals like Demogoblin and Carrion. These are the people Shriek sees as children in his family, to make up for an unhappy childhood.

The "happy" family of Carnage and Shriek brings together the dangerous enemies of Spider-Man.
After being superhero Sentry torn his body in half and threw it into space, Carnage was revived thanks to Michael Hall. It was the one who accidentally created his son while making a prosthetic arm for Shriek's psychologist Tanis Nieves. Shriek then seized this prosthetic arm and became its host for a short time, before it returned to Tanis Nieves and became Scorn.

Shriek was the owner of a part of Carnage's body for a short time.
Recently, Shriek returned at the Absolute Carnage event and accepted to sacrifice himself so that Carnage could summon Demogoblin. It was the self-proclaimed Demagoblin and became Carnage's lover afterwards.

Demagoblin used Shriek's body to live, becoming a new warrior in his army.
Besides being able to create sound waves as well as use them to counterattack and fly, Shriek can also use his ability to control and exploit the darkest patches in the enemy's mind. Sound waves are also one of the weaknesses of Venom and Carnage's Symbiote species. At the same time, it was this supernatural ability of Shriek that made her one of Venom's engravings.
2. So what will Shriek's role in Venom 2 be?
In Venom's after-credit, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) returns to his work as an investigative journalist. He went to San Quentin Prison to interview a prisoner at the suggestion of the criminal himself. There, Eddie is taken to the cell where mass murderer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) is locked in a prison cage.

The appearance of Cletus Kasady in Venom somewhat reveals the birth of Carnage in Venom 2.
Owning the nickname Red thanks to her red curly hair, Cletus was affable when she saw Eddie. He even wrote the words "Welcome Eddie" with his blood on the wall and threatened that once he got out of here, he would conduct another massacre.
It is possible that after meeting with Eddie, Cletus Kasady got a piece of Venom and by blending with his blood, Carnage was born. Cletus's detention in prison and a massacre before escaping, then rescuing Shriek could be entirely inspired by the comic book prototype itself, Maximum Carnage.

Shriek's ability to create sound waves made her a formidable enemy of Venom in the next film.
