After comparing, the manga Attack on Titan seems to be inspired by Norse Mythology.
In chapter 120 of Attack on Titan, when Eren and Zeke touched each other, the two reached the Coordinates, which connected the Titans and the entire Eldia people. Through invisible roads, the reader can see firsthand what the landscape of the Coordinates really is.

With the shape of a giant trunk in the middle, branching out into the trunks in all directions. It connects the Titans as well as the Ymir subjects in the whole world. This image immediately impressed the writer that it was no different from Yggdrasil - Tree of Life in Norse Mythology.

And it also shows that the similarity is undeniable, because the author of the series Isayama also said that he liked the Norse Mythology and the image of the Titans and its world is Inspiration inspired by Mythology.

For those unfamiliar with Norse Mythology, Yggdrasil - the Tree of Life is a giant tree that connects all the Nine Realms together. It extends from the roots to the trunk and to its gigantic branches. Similar to Attack on Titan, the image of the "Spirit Tree" Coordinates is also what connects 9 Titan. At the same time, it also connected all Eldia subjects around the world, through space and time. The similarity is extremely intuitive and can be seen quite clearly.

The Ragnarok event in Norse mythology can also relate to the millions of Titans in the waking walls, called the Quake. Both of these events have in common that they were foreseen and will destroy the world. It engulfed everything in chaos and hysteria. Then the whole world will be reborn again, just like the current characters in Paradis. Most importantly, Eren was trying to use the Water Element to activate the concussion.

Images of giant beasts eating people when talking about the Eldia people. At that time, this people used their Titan power to expand the territory, slaughter and destroy other nations to build the empire. This may also be related to the Giants in Norse Mythology, which lived in Jotunheim.

Several other characters and events in Attack on Titan, though small, still show details similar to those in Northern Mythology. Not just images of the Tree of Life or the Giants of Ymir.

We now know that Eren and Zeke want to activate the Vibration to destroy the world military coalition. If compared with the image of the Vibration is Ragnarok mentioned above, then we can see Eren is Loki - God of Deception, and Zeke is Fenrir. Those are the two forces that play a huge role in destroying the world.

The similarity between Eren and Loki is that Titan Attack is a Titan that can be considered against all other Titans. A Titan wants an intense desire to be free and independent, just like Loki. Not to mention, Eren has also been detained by his own teammates, lost confidence, misunderstood throughout the events since Paradis gained freedom until the time Eren overthrew the government. Besides, he cheated on his friends and teammates, just like Loki.

According to Norse mythology, Loki was initially a character considered to have good intentions, or considered to have good divinity, but then gradually went on a cruel path. Because when you have to perform extremely extreme and cruel ways to solve the problems of the gods. This is exactly the same way Eren was forced to slaughter hundreds of innocent people in Marley in order to steal the Titan of War Hammer, and get Zeke back.

Zeke is Fenrir, the Giant Wolf who was predicted to kill Odin and his army in Ragnarok, but was then pierced and killed by Vidar, Odin's son. It sounds very much like Zeke slaughtered Erwin Smith (Odin) and the Reconnaissance army in the battle at Maria. And shortly after, Zeke was pierced through his throat by Levi (Vidar). The difference is that Zeke was saved by Pieck in the last minute and not killed by Levi like Vidar killed Fenrir.

In addition, Vidar is considered to be one of Asgard's most powerful gods after Thor, and Levi is also considered to be the strongest warrior of mankind. Similarly, the image between Thor and Mikasa also has some similarities. I know that Thor is the most powerful god because he is the son of Odin to a giant.

This is similar to the fact that Mikasa is Eastern and Ackerman, thus stronger than humans because the power of the Ackerman family is also from Titan. Thor always carries the Mjolnir hammer like Mikasa always carries a scarf around his neck. Thor is also considered a faithful warrior, just like Mikasa always vows to follow Eren.
