Infinity Ward has no intention of developing a battle battle mode for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare version.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has entered the famous battle royale with the release of Blackout. Although this genre is full of potential, it gradually becomes saturated in terms of content, something that Infinity Ward developer seems to be aware of. And therefore, Infinity Ward has no intention of developing the battle battle mode for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare version.

Joe Cecot, Infinity Ward's design director, said Black Ops 4 and Modern Warfare are aimed at different purposes. He said that the studio is honing the core experience of the multiplayer mode. "[We] are passionate fans of the royale battle. We are excited about the number of big players and the like, but now we really focus on multiplayer."
So it seems that Modern Warfare will be nothing like Black Ops 4: Black Out. Cecot explained: "We really focus on Modern Warfare, with authentic weapons and grim reality, and it's another experience. It really retains the purity of Modern Warfare."

Currently, Modern Warfare's largest number of players is in Ground War, supporting up to 40 players. However, when this reboot version is released in October, the next plan is Ground War which will support more than 100 players in a match. Gunfight mode is the smallest mode of Modern Warfare with 2v2 battles depending on skill and tactical position.
Starting in September, Infinity Ward will hold beta sessions for Modern Warfare. Scheduled exclusively for pre-orderers on PS4, the first round will start on September 12 and 13. The second round, for all PS4 owners, will take place from September 14-16. People who pre-order on PC and Xbox One can play between 19 and September 20. For the final beta, for everyone, it is expected to run from the 21st. until September 23.
