There have been 80 deaths due to health problems associated with prolonged heatwaves in Japan.
Japan Fire and Disaster Management Agency said on August 14, from July 29 to August 12, there were 80 deaths in Japan. The cause is related to health problems related to prolonged heat wave, while the number of people hospitalized also reached about 31,000 people.

Among those hospitalized, people aged 65 or older accounted for 54.9%. In which, Tokyo is the place where most people are hospitalized, followed by provinces like Saitama, Aichi, Osaka.
