GameFreak publicly announced the removal of some Pokemon from the Pokedex encyclopedia in the Sword & Shield version, causing much controversy and speculation with gamers.
Recently, Nintendo released the latest trailer for Pokemon Sword & Shield, and introduced some features of the 8th generation Pokemon project. In addition to introducing new mainland, new features, New Pokemon, all of which made the fans happy and looking forward to the game launch date. However, there is a feature that makes the Pokemon community seem very unhappy, that is the removal of the National Pokedex system.

Accordingly, in the two Sword & Shield versions, many older generation Pokemon will be removed from the game and only a few Pokemon will be "naturalized" to the land of Galar - the land of fog in the Pokemon world. However, the specific identity of which species is naturalized, which species is probably still very mysterious to many fans. There have been some fans predicting which species will be transferred. This article is based on fans' predictions of the most probable possibilities for Sword & Shield Pokemon.

First of all, we will consider Pokemon cases associated with other titles and other continents. One of the best examples is Unown, a Pokemon associated with the relic Alph in the Johto region. Of course it is still possible, but it's hard for a Pokemon to relate to England in fantasy.

The second case is probably Pokemon with many different shapes. Designers from Game Freak shared that they will have to remove some Pokemon from the Sword & Shield to save space. Therefore, the type of Pokemon has many different shapes will be removed from this list. The most typical of this list will probably be ... Unown with 28 shapes. In addition, various species of Furfrou, Castform, Wormadam, Sawsbuck and Vivillon are also likely to be "kicked" from the Galar continent.
The third case is probably Pokemon that are "judged" to have the same appearance as the new Pokemon. For example, if the 8th generation introduces a Pokemon with a goblin-like appearance of Sableye, it is likely that Sableye will be removed from the list. However, remember that this is just a hypothesis and just how much we have to see how much the GameFreak designers do.

In addition, Pokemon Legendary and Mythical of the previous 7 generations may also be excluded. However, the GameFreak quite often have the habit of bringing the legendary way to give in special events. So the ability to remove them seems to be quite small compared to other Pokemon.

Finally, the Pokemon are faded, there is not much new land since it was introduced so far. Maractus is a good example of this. It doesn't appear anywhere other than Unova's Pokedex and maybe game designers probably "forgot" it long ago. A few similar cases may be mentioned, perhaps Carnivine, Purugly, Skuntank, Lumineon, Cherrim and Druddigon.
