The Cycle is a first-person shooter with a tactical style of play, created by those who developed the famous game Spec Ops: The Line. In Fortuna III's world, you will have to compete with other Prospector or cooperate with them to get as much resources as possible. At the same time you have to escape before the planet depletes your life energy.
In The Cycle, vast galaxies are being controlled by giant factions. But the mysterious lands outside are still very much empty so they can control and build their empire. In the race to control these extraterrestrial resources, factions need contractors to perform heavy tasks for them. You are one of these contractors, and you have to compete for activities like: collecting minerals or hunting wildlife. While being careful to avoid being defeated by other opponents.
