Are you qualified to become a virtual assistant?

A virtual assistant doesn't need to have a professional qualification. However, you need to have knowledge in the job you choose.

For example: If you want to become VA aggregate, you need to know the basics of working on computers. If you are applying for a content writing position or an SEO assistant position, you must know the basic rules of writing a standard SEO article ranking on search engines.
There are three levels to hire a virtual assistant:
1- Basic
As a basic assistant, you don't need to have a deep knowledge of the niche. You should impress the recruiter during the interview process by showing your passion for the company you are applying.
2- Having a solid knowledge
You must have a special skill such as writing, coding in programming languages, SEO, or social media. You may not have many years of experience in this area but you will be able to handle the work independently with excellent results.
3- Specialist
As an expert assistant, you need to have sound knowledge of your field and have good experience to introduce your expertise (along with some feedback from your previous customers). .

Specific qualifications may not be required to become virtual assistants, but there are a few qualities that are a prerequisite for success as a VA.

Quality you need to become a virtual assistant
To become a virtual assistant, you must have the following qualities:
Good communication skills: Remember that you are working. If you are not a good communicator, you will not be connected with customers and your customers will not be satisfied.
Applicable attitude: In most cases, you will not match the time you work with your customer in your time zone, local dialect or culture. There will be some confusion. You must actively clarify mistakes and accept customer behavior.
Passion: You must be a conscious individual. You should be passionate about completing your work on schedule. Your passion for work will help you increase working time and will increase the value for your customers.
Honesty: Your customers depend on you for giving them their full rights. You have to believe in that job. You must tell that person the truth is why the job has not been done or if you are having some problems. But always try to solve the problem alone and complete the assigned task on schedule. Honesty is the key to VA's success.
Ability to say "no": Sometimes your customers will add work to you without planning ahead. You can try to do it for a while so your customers are satisfied, which is better than you refuse and say "no".

How to choose your VA niche
It's a haunting question for beginners, but the most common answer is to do what you like.

To find your VA zone, you should start working under any kind of virtual assistant. From the beginning, the most important thing is not having a proper position, but a job.

Think about that as follows: Search for a VA job in a field you already know works. Now expand for a change and try different things. You can't know what you like to do if you haven't done it before.

For example, you can start as a writing assistant and continue to try to design as a part-time or freelance department. If you start to spend more time designing, you can switch to design assistants at any time with your existing customers (or new customers).

Conclude
When you start your career as a virtual assistant, you should focus on gathering knowledge, expertise and feedback to help you grow. Money always comes with expertise and capacity.

You can read a few books designed specifically for how to become a virtual assistant like The Bootstrapped VA. Or you can take a certification course. But the most important thing is your confidence to handle a customer problem and solve it for them.
