If you are a fan of Dragon Ball, then you will probably be too curious about the characters in this brand, right?
Below is an interview with Akira Toriyama author about characters in Dragon Ball brand, very interesting! Let's see it!
- In peacetime, or on holidays, what do Dragon Ball characters do?
AT: Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo practice; Gohan learns; Bulma research (science); Satan attended events; and Muten Roshi watch the video.

- There are many eating scenes in Dragon Ball, so who is the best chef?
AT: The best cooks are probably Wu Ma and Yamcha? For some reason, they seem to be good at cooking.

AT: The Krillin family is a very ordinary family, but number 18 when anger is scary. Therefore Krillin always tries to please her. Bulma family is always very free and comfortable for many generations, but Bulma often has absolute control over everything.
- In the Dragon Ball world, there are many Earth people, such as those of animals. People like the King of Nations and the chairman of the Martial Arts Congress are dogs. So what does the author mean when creating animal characters?
AT: About why I often draw animal characters, of course it's because I like animals, but basically I do it because it makes it easier to create more diverse characters. Dogs have a reputation for being more loyal and pure than humans, so I often use this animal image.

- Is there any character created based on someone in real life?
AT: Regarding the character model, I think "Beerus", the God of Destruction, was created based on my 14-year-old cat. It is a Cornish Rex, which is a rare breed. Saying this is a bit off-topic, but one day, despite having a serious disease, the veterinarian said that it would not last much longer, it had miraculously cured itself and the doctor said it was probably some kind of demon.
Karin cat god is based on our previous cat. Also, I can't think of any other case. Basically, I almost never took anyone (such as a specific person) as a model (for a character). There may be characters inspired by something, but not something specific.
