During
the Lunar New Year, the leaders of the banks said that the Tet bonus
was higher than before, but not at any level, depending on the
performance. Even so, there are banks that give bonuses to their employees for up to 7 months' wages.
Sharing with Zing.vn, ACB Deputy General Director Nguyen Thanh Toai said that most banks now apply bonus levels based on each position and business results of the bank.
He also said that in recent years banks did not announce specific bonuses, as wages and bonuses for the banking industry were changed.
"In the past, people used to give bonuses, but now the labor market is increasingly fluctuating. Incorrectly putting specific salary and bonus data into the market will have an impact on the market, "said Toai.
Bank employees also disclose that the annual salary increase of the banking industry is relatively high, at over 10% per annum.
Stress, the pressure of high unemployment
With the income of tens of millions per month, the rate of bank staff is very high. More than half of the surveyed banks said that on average more than 10% of their employees quit their jobs each year.
Most bank employees involved in the survey also said they felt stress and pressure at different levels, only 8% satisfied with the current job.
The common cause of stress in the banking sector is the high volume of work and the high turnover pressure.
Remarkably,
although the majority of surveyed employees came from domestic joint
stock banks, only 16% came from foreign bank branches or 100% foreign
owned banks in Vietnam, more than half of respondents expressed interest in working for a bank / foreign bank branch.
